Meghan Quinn’s Vancouver Agitators Series Reading Order

The world of hockey romance has taken booktok and bookstagram by storm – and this series is what set the fire for me to get into them. I love and hate myself for choosing this series as the first hockey romance series for me to dive into.

I love this series so much because this was a knee-slapping-almost-pee-my-pants funny rom-com with hysterical hockey teammates who are constantly infiltrating each others lives and helping each other from sabotaging themselves. I hate this series because I truly don’t know how another series can top this series.

You also have big, burly hockey players who open up and show their raw vulnerability to the women who have captured their hearts. It’s adorable and will leave you with tears in your eyes from laughing and crying at the vulnerability that these men show. They are constantly fighting their demons while their women and their teammates help stand them back up. If you’re looking to finally jump on the hockey romance bandwagon that booktok and bookstagram have set a storm with, then I highly recommend starting with this series.

Let’s dive into the perfect reading order for the Vancouver Agitators Series…

Spice Level: 2.5/5🌶️🌶️

For my very first hockey romance, I decided to start Meghan Quinn’s Agitators series, a journey through the frosty, heart-racing world of hockey. Specifically, with the first book, Kiss and Don’t Tell. This opener sets the puck gliding across the ice, introducing us to a captivating blend of romance and sports. The story serves as a foundation, intertwining the fierce energy of hockey with the heat of unexpected love – literally. As the starting line in Meghan Quinn’s succession of hockey books, it lures you onto the rink and prepares you for a series where skates meet fate and hearts contend with scores.

Winnie Berlin’s misadventures in the Canadian Rockies lead to a chance encounter that defines the essence of this book. It’s here that the quirky blend of humor and tenderness synonymous with Meghan Quinn books emerges. Establishing precedence for the series, this title seamlessly blends the thrill of the game with the complexities of love, setting a high bar for the books that follow in order. The stage is set for an ongoing journey where each goal isn’t just about winning the game, but also grappling with the high stakes of the heart.

Synopsis of Kiss and Don't Tell by Meghan Quinn

In Meghan Quinn’s “Kiss and Don’t Tell”, readers plunge headfirst into a romance that defies expectations. Winnie Berlin, the heroine, get’s caught in a violent thunderstorm in the foreboding Canadian Rockies. All elements of a fun solo road trip to connect with her late mother quickly nosedive when her car lands in a ditch, far from her comfort zone of living in the bustling city life of Seattle. With no choice but to seek help, Winnie stumbles upon a secluded cabin inhabited by five men who are more than just rugged residents—they’re professional hockey players.

Accustomed to a world where the nearest Starbucks offers sanctuary, Winnie’s survival instincts are put to the test. The tension skyrockets when she discovers one of the men is related to her ex-boyfriend. It’s here, cut off from the world she knows, that Winnie’s path crosses with Pacey Lawes, the charismatic goalie for the Vancouver Agitators.

As Winnie navigates her attraction to Pacey, readers are ensnared by the fiery dynamics of their burgeoning relationship. Pacey’s magnetic pull is as undeniable as the storm that brought Winnie to him. “Kiss and Don’t Tell” is an invigorating tale from Meghan Quinn’s hockey romance arsenal, serving up an enthralling blend of passion, drama, and the wilderness of both heart and nature.

Pacey Lawes and Winnie Berlin

Their connection flickers to life with the unpredictability of a storm – intense and enthralling. Pacey, the star goalie for the Vancouver Agitators, falls first for Winnie. He falls wholeheartedly and does everything he can not to scare her off with the intensity of his feelings for her, while Winnie Berlin finds herself putting up walls against Pacey’s untethered feelings for her. However, she can’t fight off the feelings of a hockey player who doesn’t usually fall head over heels for girls.

The fusion of their worlds ignites a romance that questions the possibility of second chances amid past complexities. As the warmth of their budding relationship clashes with the chill of the secrets they harbor, readers are drawn into the push and pull of desire and discretion that defines their unfolding narrative. This tapestry of tension and tenderness is what fans of Meghan Quinn’s books have come to expect, ensuring that the journey through her fictional universe is as heartrending as it is heartwarming.

Those Three Little Words by Meghan Quinn Book Cover

I turned the last page of Meghan Quinn’s “Kiss and Don’t Tell” with a satisfied sigh, only to be struck with an immediate need for more of these surly Vancouver Agitators. My resolve stood unwavering; I had to continue my journey through the series. Without hesitation, I delved into “Those Three Little Words,” the second book that promised to quench my thirst (yeah, double entendre there for ya 😉Eli Hornsby is a snack!) for heart-stirring romance intertwined with the adrenaline of the game.

The stakes were raised, the ice was set, and my expectations hovered high as I began the next chapter in this enthralling world of hockey heartthrobs (I’m looking at you Hornsby). Eli and Penny really know how to stir the pot with ALL the drama – trials of friendship, the weight of surprise responsibilities, and the undeniable force of love battling against the odds. The narrative skates further, exploring the complicated relationships and emotional growth of its beloved characters, ensuring I was locked into the story from the very start.

Meghan Quinn’s gift for creating vivid characters and her knack for creating romantic love stories against the backdrop of competitive sports will make me keep picking up her sports romance books. This book was not just a continuation but a testament to the evolving storyline of fun and surly teammates who always have each other’s backs – even if they get your sister pregnant – that makes Meghan Quinn’s books a must-read for anyone who wants to pick up a hockey romance.

Synopsis of Those Three Little Words by Meghan Quinn

Life throws a curveball at Eli Hornsby, one of the hottest players in Meghan Quinn’s hockey books. Eli finds himself in a predicament straight out of a daytime drama—he knocked up his best friend’s sister. In a heart-pounding reveal, the news breaks simultaneously to him and his best friend, Pacey, with emotions erupting like a puck drop on the ice. Friendships deteriorate, tensions rise, and Eli, not wanting to be a terrible man like his father, finds himself moving into Penny’s apartment to help her with anything she needs during her pregnancy. “Those Three Little Words,” the second book in the Agitators series, delves deeply into the struggles of love and unexpected paternity amid the intense scrutiny of professional sports.

Penny Lawes, Pacey’s sister, stands at the core of this story, mixed up in a hopeless situation with her brother’s best friend and now living with him against her protests.  Together, Eli and Penny navigate the storm of close quarters, hormonal pregnant whirlwinds, and midnight doughnut cravings. The depth of Quinn’s storytelling shines here, as the characters grapple not just with impending parenthood, but with waning friendships and long-suppressed desires as sexual tension hangs like a thick cloud in the bed that they’re sharing. As passions simmer and then boil over, we’re left wondering if love can truly conquer all or if some penalties are too harsh for any comeback.

Eli Hornsby and Penny Lawes

Eli Hornsby stands out as one of Meghan Quinn’s hottest, most secually active characters. Deemed a “Disney Prince reincarnated,” but his looks aren’t all that we love about him. His role as a professional hockey player intertwines with deeper emotional layers. Known as the one who is always up for a good time, he is suddenly thrust into fatherhood. He grapples with newfound responsibilities, revealing vulnerabilities beneath his tough exterior and overcoming life-long fears that Penny is helping him cope with.

Penny Lawes, starkly different in her own way, commandeers unexpected attention. As Pacey Lawes’ sister, her character unfolds with raw honesty. Their relationship, marked by the chaos of an unplanned pregnancy, brings forth a spectrum of emotions, from trepidation to an undeniable bond.

Together, Eli and Penny navigate the murky waters of romance against the vivacious backdrop of the hockey world. With Meghan Quinn’s delicate touch, readers experience their growth, conflicts, and the tentative steps they take toward a shared future. Out of all of Meghan Quinn books in order, their plot is by far the biggest test of a teammates trust in the Agitators series. The trust and love that these teammates have for one another is an important part of the Meghan Quinn hockey books. But when Eli and Penny finally capture their happiness after Penny lives in sorrow for wanting Eli to return her feelings that are exclusive to Quinn’s hockey world.

Synopsis of Right Man, Right Time by Meghan Quinn

In ‘Right Man, Right Time’, unexpected encounters lead to surprising alliances. Finding herself face to face with her ex and his new flame, a college girl grasps for a quick escape—by kissing a stranger. The stranger, a stunningly handsome hockey player far her senior, presents her with a peculiar deal, whispering a demand for repayment. ‘You owe me’ binds them in a charade of togetherness that blurs the lines between pretense and reality. Their alliance serves dual purposes: he wards off an ex’s unwelcome advances; she gains an edge with her internship.

As nights in each other’s company become commonplace, their bond grows, steeped in mutual assistance and laughter. Yet, the college girl’s heart ventures into dangerous territory, with every shared glance and touch challenging their agreement’s boundaries. Each must confront the question: are they playing roles, or has the act revealed a truth too compelling to ignore? Meghan Quinn stitches a tapestry of affection and ambition, where timing might just dictate the rhythm of the heart.

Silas Taters and Ollie Owens

They slide into the narrative with an ease that reflects a genuine understanding of love’s complexities. I found myself engrossed in their interplay, struck by the authenticity of their interactions. Their connection unfolds with a tension that grips you, much like the anticipation before a game-winning goal.

Quinn has a knack for crafting relationships that feel as real as the ice beneath skates. Silas brings a depth that complements Ollie’s vibrancy, making their bond not only believable but one that readers will root for. Each conversation, every shared glance, adds to the buildup of their story. It’s not just about the romance; it’s the journey they navigate, a blend of rough patches and triumphs that mirror a hockey season.

Their story is a dance of push and pull, one that captures your heart and doesn’t let go. Reading how Silas and Ollie tackle obstacles, I saw that love, like hockey, requires teamwork. It’s this realization that makes Quinn’s portrayal of their relationship an essential addition to her hockey romance series.
